SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in (Northern and Eastern)Shan, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Mon States, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Magway, Yangon Region and Rakhine, Kayin States, (3°C) below April average temperature in Kachin Sate and about normal average temperature in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Chauk, Bawlakhae and (43°C) each in Minbu, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Pyay and Taunggu. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.92) inches in Kengtung, (1.38) inches in Naungcho, (0.75) inch in Thaton, (0.63) inch in Thipaw and (0.43) inch each in Kyaukmae and Pyinoolwin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02nd May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The Cumulonimbus clouds are starting over the Taninthayi Region and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
