SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Eastern Shan, Kayah and Kayin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above April average temperatures in Upper Region and Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin States and (2°C) above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk, (44°C) in Bawlakhae and (43°C) each in Taungdwingyi, Pyay and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.30) inches in Thaton, (0.95) inch in Kawkareik, (0.87)inch Paung, (0.59) inch in Nayngcho, (0.44) inch in Naypyitaw Airport(Ela) and (0.24) inch each in Kyaukmae and Shwebo.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th April, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The Cumulonimbus clouds are starting over the Taninthayi Region and Shan, Kayah, Kayin States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
