SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States, scattered in Magway, Bago Regions and Chin, Kayin States and isolated in Taninthayi Region and Mon State with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk and (43°C) in Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.77) inches in Patheingyi(Shwesayan), (2.52) inches in Pinlaung, (1.97) inches in Yamethin, (1.86) inches in Myingyan, (1.82) inches in Amarapura, (1.56) inches in Singaing and (1.14) inches in Mandalay (Aungmyaythasan).
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th April, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The starting development of Cumulonimbus clouds over the Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Shan, Chin States. Along the area where the Cumulonimbus clouds move, strong winds and rain accompanied the rain, thunder, lightning weather phenomena such as lightning and hail may occur, so it is recommended to be aware in advance.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
