SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kachin, Southern Shan States, scattered in Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in Magway, Bago Regions and Northern Shan, Kayin States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State, (2°C) above April averagetemperatures in Naypyitaw and Rakhine, Kayah States and (3°C) below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April averagetemperatures in the remaining Regions and States.The significant day temperatures were (43°C) each in Chauk and Bawlakhae and (42°C)each in Myingyan, NyaungOo, Yamethin, Magway, Taungdwingyi and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.38) inches in NyaungShwe, (1.02) inches in Monyin, (0.94) inch in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri), (0.83) inch in Pyinmana(Walgyi), (0.55) inch inPyinmana, (0.55) inch in Ela, (0.51) inch each in Pinlaung and Kyaukse(Lunkyaw) and (0.47) inch in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri).
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th April, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State,scattered in Upper Sagaing,Taninthayi Regions and Shan, ChinStatesand isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).
The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The development of Cumulonimbus clouds over the Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin States. Along the area where the Cumulonimbus clouds move, strong winds and rain accompanied the rain, thunder, lightning weather phenomena such as lightning and hail may occur, so it is recommended to be aware in advance.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
