SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin, Kayah States and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo and Chauk and (44°C) each in Kalewa, Tamu, Mingin, Shwebo, Monywa, Myinmu, Tada U(Aviation), Gangaw and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.32) inch in Machanbaw, (0.20) inch in Putao and (0.08) inch in Hpasaung.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st April, 2023: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Kachin, Kayah States and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States.
