SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Chin States, isolated in Magway Region and Rakhine State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above March average temperatures in Bago Region and Kayin, Mon States and (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (3°C) below March average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and (5°C) to (6°C) below March average temperatures in Kachin, Chin States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) each in Pyay, Taunggu, Shwekyin, Laytatpyin(Pyay), Bawlakhae and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.59) inch in Shwegu, (0.36) inch in Thipaw, (0.31) inch each in Kyaukmae, Katha and Kanbalu and (0.27) inch each in Hakha and Monywa.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th March, 2023: Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions.
