SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Chin State, fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above March average temperature in Mon State, (5°C) to (6°C) above March average temperatures in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State, (4°C) above March average temperatures in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and (2°C) below March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region, (4°C) below March average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (6°C) below March average temperature in Kachin State and (8°C) below March average temperature Chin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Pyay and (39°C) each in Chauk, Magway, Shwekyin, Kawkareik, Belin and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.31) inch in Khayan, (0.28) inch in Tiddim, (0.19) inch each in Putao and Machanbaw and (0.16) inch in Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23th March, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
