SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Kayah State and scattered in Kachin, Southern Shan States. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw and Bago Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above March average temperature in Mon State, (3°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State and (2°C) above March average temperature in Ayeyarwady Region and (2°C) below March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin State and (3°C) below March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Pyay and (38°C) each in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), Shwekyin, Laytatpyin(Pyay), Bawlakhae, Hpasaung and Myawaddy. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.08) inch in Hpasaung and (0.04) inch each in Putao and Bawlakhae.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the North and West central Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th March, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered rain or thundershowers in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin and isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
