SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan States, fairly widespread in Chin State and isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Bago, Yangon Regions and Kayin State and (2°C) below March average temperatures in Kachin, Chin States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (38°C) in Myinmu, Mandalay, Nyaung Oo, Tada U (Aviation Met), Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Pyay, Bawlakhae and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.09) inches in Mogoke, (1.02) inches in Kyaukmae, (0.86) inch in Thipaw, (0.83) inch in Moemate, (0.67) inch in Taunggyi, (0.63) inch each in Nyaung Shwe and Kalewa and (0.59) inch in Shwegu.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th March, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan, Chin States and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
