BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over South Bay of Bengal moved West-Northwestwards now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (625) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island, (735) Nautical miles West-Southwest ofHainggyigyun(Myanmar), (210) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka)and (335) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Karaikal(India).Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Seaover and East central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st January, 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). weather will be Generally Fair in Naypyitaw, Lower sagaing, Magway Regions Chin State. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong winds may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan State.
