BAY INFERENCEAccording to the observations at (15:30)hrs MST today, theWell Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal around (30.1.2023) and reach near Sri Lanka coast around (1.2.2023).Weather is cloudy over the South Bay of Bengaland partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th January, 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State. Degree of certainty is (60%).Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair inthe remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA:Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly windsmay reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan, Kayah andKayin States.
