SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, MonStates and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Yangon Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Kayah, Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (2°C) each inKyaukmae andNamsam, (3°C) each in Heho and Mongyang and (4°C) in Loilin.
BAY INFERENCE:Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th January, 2023:Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair inthe remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA:Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly windsmay reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Generally fair in the whole country.
