SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Northern Shan, Chin States and isolated in Mandalay Region and weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature in Taninthayi Region and (2°C) above December average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Mon States and (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Namsam, (5°C) each in Heho, Mongyang, Hakha and Tiddim and (6°C) in Loilin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.31) inch in Hkamti, (0.16) inch in Moemate, (0.12) inch each in Kunlong, Tiddim and Tongzan and (0.08) inch each in Myitkyina, Machanbaw, Homalin and Tamu.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States and isolated in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
