SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature in Taninthayi Region and (2°C) above December average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Bago Regions and Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States, (5°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Kachin State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) each in Namsam and Hakha, (4°C) in Mongyang, (5°C) in Heho and (6°C) each in Kyaukmae and Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.20) inch in Putao, (0.16) inch each in Machanbaw and Hkamti and (0.04) inch in Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Mandalay Region and Chin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Kayah States.
