SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Yangon Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature in Chin State and (2°C) above December average temperatures in Sagaing, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern), Kayah States and (6°C) above December average temperature in Naypyitaw and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (4°C) each in Namsam and Tiddim and (6°C) in Heho‌. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (0.28) inch in Kungyangon.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Southwestwards and is crossing to Sri Lanka near Trincomalee. Weather is cloudy over the Southwest Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
