BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved west- southwest wards and centered at about (720) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco –Island, (820) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (70) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (140) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Jaffna (Sri Lanka), (180) Nautical miles East of Nagappattinam and (275) Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is cloudy over the Southwest Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and eleswhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
