SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been generally fair in Northern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature in Chin State and (2°C) above December average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Eastern and Southern)Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Mon States, (5°C) above December average temperature in Naypyitaw and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (4°C) each in Namsam and Tiddim and (6°C) each in Kyaukmae, Heho‌, Loilin, Mongyang and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved west- southwest wards and centered at about (610) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco –Island, (710) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (175) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (230) Nautical miles East of Nagappattinam and (260) Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25^th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States.
