SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in thewhole country. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature in Chin State and (2°C) above December average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Mon States, (4°C) above December average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State, (5°C) to (6°C) above December average temperature in Naypyitaw, Kayah State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant nighttemperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (4°C) each in Namsam andTiddim, (5°C) in Heho‌ and (6°C) each in Kyaukmae, Mongyang and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal almost stationary and centered at about (595) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco –Island, (695) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (195) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (250) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Nagappattinam and (275) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24^th December, 2022:Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, KayahStates. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy inthe remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay,Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
