BAY INFERENCE According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards and centered at about (595) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco –Island, (695) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (195) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (250) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Nagappattinam and (275) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 23th December, 2022: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
