BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. Weather is cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and Central Bay of Bengal and generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Southern Shan State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at time in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly winds may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Chin States.
