SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions. Weather has been generally fair weather in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and (5°C) above December average temperature in Ayeyarwady Region and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) in Hakha, (6°C) in Tiddim and (8°C) each in Putao, Kyaukmae, Heho and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.22) inches in Kawthaung, (0.32) inch in Yangon(Northern Dagon) and (0.16) inch in Yangon(Mingaladon).
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards and concentrate into a Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal tonight. It is likely further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm around (7.12.2022) and reach off North Tamilnadu-Puducherry and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) around (8.12.2022). Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and North Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Magway, Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southernand Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
