SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated Taninthayi Region. Weather has been generally fair weather in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and (5°C) above December average temperature in Ayeyarwady Region and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (6°C) in Hakha, (7°C) in Tiddim, (8°C) each in Putao and Kyaukmae and (9°C) each in Namsam, Heho and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (0.67) inch in Kawthaung.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards and concentrate into a Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal around (6.12.2022). Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move West-Northwest wards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm and reach North Tamilnadu-Puducherry and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) around (8.12.2022). Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th December, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at time Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
