SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State, isolated in Napyitaw, Magway Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above November average temperatures in Magway Region and Rakhine State, (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayin, Mon States, (5°C) above November average temperature in Kayah State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Hakha, (7°C) each in Putao and Tiddim and (9°C) in Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.85) inches in Coco- Island, (1.65) inches in Paung, (1.57) inches each in Okkan and Chaungsone, (1.46) inches in Kawthaung, (1.30) inches in Belin and (1.15) inches in Kawkareik.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Eastcentral Bay and Southeast Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure cell over the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining North Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th November, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Bago Region and Kayah State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Lower Myanmar Areas.
