SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below November average temperatures in Northern Shan, Chin States, (2°C) below November average temperature in Kachin State, (2°C) above November average temperature in Ayeyarwady Region, (3°C) above November average temperatures in Kayin, Mon States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (6°C) in Tiddim, (7°C) each in Namsam and Heho and (8°C) each in Putao, Kyaukmae and Loilin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.37) inches in Dawei, (1.14) inches in Launglon, (1.10) inches in Yay, (0.83) inch in Myeik, (0.48) inch in Kawthaung and (0.16) inch in Hainggyigyun.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th November, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Bago Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30) to (35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
