23-11-2024: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and  Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Sittwe (6.42)inches, Maungdaw (5.79)inches Kyaukpyu (3.50) inches, Myauk U (3.23)inches, Phyu (2.44)inches, Hkamti and Yay (1.97)inches each, Shwegyin (1.93)inches and Paletwa (1.77)inches.  

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 10th June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Upper  Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Kayin and Mon States and  widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of  isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar water.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Thundery activities in the Northern Myanmar areas.
