SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and Kayah, Mon States, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin State and isolated in Bago Region and Eastern Shan State with isolated heavyfalls in Kayah State. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below November average temperatures in Magway Region and Kachin State and (2°C) above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Eastern Shan State, (3°C) above November average temperatures in Southern Shan, Kayah States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (6°C) in Tiddim and (8°C) in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.86) inches in Loikaw, (2.79) inches in Bogale, (2.24) inches in Coco- Island, (1.34) inches in Kungyangon, (1.26) inches in Mawlamyinekyun, (0.87) inch in Phyarpon, (0.83) inch in Kawthaung ‌and (0.55) inch in Myeik.

BAY INFERENCE:  Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th November, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Bago Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Rakhine State with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyiyaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeryarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
