SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing,Yangon, Taninthayi Regions, isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyawady Regions and Kachin, Mon States and weather has beenpartly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (1.26) inches in Coco Island, (1.10) inches in Hainggyigyun, (0.90) inch in Myingyan, (0.48) inch in Myeik, (0.43) inch in Pauk  and (0.40) inch in Kawthaung.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards now lies over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (360) Nautical miles West ofHainggyigyun, (385) Nautical miles Southwest of Thandwe, (380) Nautical miles Southwest of Sittwe (Myanmar), (350) Nautical miles South of Sagar Island (India) and (420) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Barisal (Bangladesh).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin States, scattered in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon Regions and Northern Shan, Mon States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Frequently squall with rough to very rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (50-55) mph. Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (13-16) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and (9-12) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 24th October, 2022:           Isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (80%).
