BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over Southeast Bay and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal during next (6) hours. It is likely to move Northwestwards and intensify into a Deep Depression around (23.10.2022) and then recurve to Northwards and intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over Westcentral and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal around (24.10.2022). It is likely to move North-Northeastwards and reach near West Bengal (India)- Bangladesh Coasts around (25.10.2022).Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Yangon Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Regions and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Mon States.
