BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “Nesat” over the South China Sea centered at about (100) nautical miles East of Dong Hoi, Vietnam. It is likely continue to move Westwards and weaken into Tropical Depression and will cross upper Vietnam coast around morning of (21.10.2022).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Chin State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30- 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Chin, Rakhine States.
