BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs MST today, the Typhoon“Nesat” over the South China Sea has moved Southwest wards and it is centered at about (185) nautical miles Southeast of Hainan, China. It is forecast likely to move West-Southwestwards and around (19.10.2022) and then downgrate into a Severe Tropical Storm “Nesat”.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30- 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States.
