BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs MST today,
the Typhoon“Nesat”over South China Sea continue has moved West-Southwestwards
and it is centered at about (230)nautical miles East-Southeast of Hainan, China.
It is forecast continue to move West-Southwestwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 18th October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers
will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Lower
Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States and isolated in the
remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi
Region. Degree of certainty is (100%). STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30- 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States.
