BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (17:30)hrs MST today, the Typhoon“Nesat”over South China Sea continue moving to West-Southwestwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 18th October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Chin, Rakhine States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30- 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
