SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers
have been isolated in Sagaing, Magway, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Chin
State, scattered in Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan State,
fairly widespread in Mon State and widespread in the remaining Regions and
States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States.The noteworthy
amounts of rainfall recorded were Gwa (3.86) inches, Thaton (3.62) inches,
Sittwe (2.20) inches, Maungdaw (2.12) inches, Taungkok (1.81) inches and
Manauang(1.73) inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th June, 2015: Rain or
thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State,
scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and
Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions,
Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and
States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State
Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar water.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase
of rain in the Rakhine Coastal areas..
