SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and NorthernShan State, scattered in Chin State, fairly widespread Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, MagwayAyeyarwady Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (7.01) inches in Launglon, (5.23) inches in Dawei, (4.53) inches in Thaton,(3.75) inches in Nyauntone, (2.83) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (2.75) inches in Khayan, (2.72) inches in Pauk, (2.56) inches in Hlegu, (2.44) inches in Hinthada and (2.40) inches each in Danubyu and Mawlamyine.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strongto vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper SagaingRegion and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, MagwayRegions and Eastern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and Stateswith likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%). 

STATE OF THE SEA:Squall with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35- 40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-TaninthayiCoasts and (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Continuations of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 1st October, 2022:One or two rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (100%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 1st October, 2022:     One or two rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (100%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 1st October, 2022: Isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (80%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and widespread in Yangon Region.
