BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “Noru” near the border areas of Laos and Thailand has weaken into Land Depression and reached to Eastern Thailand. It is likely continue to move Westwards and weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Cell over Thailand.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 29th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Napyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and EasternShan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls and Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from Central Myanmar areas.
