SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Shan States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Sagaing Region and Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Chin, Rakhine, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.97) inches in Myeik, (1.75) inches in Paing Kyone, (1.50) inches in Kawthaung, (1.37) inches each in Kyaukse, Kawkareik and Seiktha, (1.36) inches in Ngaputaw, (1.30) inches in Labutta, (1.26) inches in Mawlamyinegyun and (1.06) inches in Kyaukpyu.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “Noru” over Vietnam has weaken into Tropical “Noru” and now lies over Southern Laos still persists. It is likely continue to move Westwards and weaken gradually into a Land Depression over Thailand.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, scattered in Napyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from Central Myanmar areas.
