SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mon State, scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Bago Region and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.58) inches in Tharrawady, (3.29) inches in Pantanaw, (3.25) inches in Paing Kyone, (3.04) inches in Phyu, (2.68) inches in Putao, (2.52) inches in Danubyu, (2.05) inches in Bawlakhae, (2.00) inches in Nyaungtone, (1.97) inches in Launglon, (1.90) inches in Kyaiklat, (1.89) inches in Dawei, (1.81) inches in Okkan and (1.80) inches in Kyeikdon.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region.
