BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal now lies over Northwest Bay and adjoining off Odisha, India still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to Odiaha coast and intensify during next (24)hrs. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 20th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State , fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Southern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States.
