SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Northern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.58) inches in Nyaunglaybin, (2.46) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (2.40) inches in Hpa-an, (2.36) inches in Chaungsone, (2.32) inches in Belin, (2.06) inches in Minbya, (2.00) inches in Paingkyone, (1.97) inches each in Kyeikkhame and Paung and (1.85) inches in Sittwe.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions.
