SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions, scattered in Yangon Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.99) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (2.87) inches in Machanbaw, (2.36) inches each in Moemate(Myitsone), Loilin, Hpa-an and Shan-Ywar-Thit, (2.06) inches in Wakema, (1.81) inches each in Gwa and Ngapudaw, (1.78) inches in Ye and (1.73) inches each in Kyaukpyu and Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 17th September, 2022: Isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (100%).
