SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway, Yangon Regions and Mon State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.58) inches in Manaung, (2.87) inches in Kani, (2.44) inches in Shwegu, (2.40) inches in Myanaung, (2.05) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.74) inches in Rambree, (1.72) inches each in Ponnagyun and Myaybon, (1.70) inches in Htilin and (1.61) inches in Hakha.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts and (5-7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
