SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in RakhineState, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.75) inches in PaingKyone, (3.70) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (3.54) inches in Myaungmya, (3.50) inches in Mawlamyinekyun, (3.23) inches in Zalun, (3.15) inches in Hkamti, (2.20) inches in Chaungsone, (2.17) inches each in Myeik and Mandalay (Aungmyaethazan), (2.04) inches Patheingyi and (1.97) inches each in Phyarpon and Hlaingbwe.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw,Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, MagwayRegions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Southern Shan,Rakhine, KayahStatesand widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfallsin Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-TaninthayiCoasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35)mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
