SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.32) inches in Mogaung, (1.77) inches in Mogoke, (1.54) inches in Shwegu, (1.34) inches in Yeu, (1.24) inches in Rambree, (1.14) inches in Hkamti, (1.02) inches each in Namsam and Tiddim, (0.99) inch in Kalewa, (0.72) inch in Kya-In-Seikkyi and (0.67) inch in Loilin.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02nd September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States.
