SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or
thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Rakhine State, scattered in Naypyitaw,
Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin States, fairly widespread
in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Mon States and widespread
in Southern Shan State with isolated heavyfalls in Northern ShanState. The noteworthy amounts
of rainfall recorded were (3.03) inches in Thipaw, (1.89) inches each in Putao and Okkan, (1.50)
inches in Ye, (1.42) inches in Hpa-an, (1.10) inches in Falam and (0.98) inch each in Heho,
Mawlamyinekyun and Dawei.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be
isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon,
Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah,
Kayin, Mon States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of
certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will
be about (4 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon.
