SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Ayewarwady Region and Kayah, Kayin States, scattered in Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.62)inches in Kawkareik, (1.50) inches in Maubin, (0.90) inch in Yangon(Mayangone), (0.84) inch in Yangon(Botahtaung), (0.71) inch in Einme, (0.62) inch in Rambree, (0.59) inch in Moemate(Myitsone) and (0.43) inch in Thipaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “Ma-On” over South China sea have crossed over Guangdong province, South China and weaken as a Tropical Strom. It is forecast continue to move West-Northwestwards and will reach to Vietnam and generuallydowngradsas a Tropical Depression. Due to the Tropical Depression “Ma-on”, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States will likelihood of isolated heavyfalls during from today evening to (28.8.2022).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, SagaingMandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, States,fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions andKayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kay​ah,Kayin, Mon States.
