SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.53) inches in Bhamo, (2.32) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.93) inches in Pauktaw, (1.46) inches in Myaungmya, (1.30) inches in Saw, (1.26) inches in Ngapudaw, (1.22) inches in Shwegu and (1.14) inches in Rambree.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayin, Mon States.
