BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha coast between Balasore and Sagar Islands, close to Digha (India) have moved West-Northwest wards and now lies over West Bengal and North Odisha and inland of Jharkhand. It is forecast continue to move West-Northwestwards towards North Chhattisgarh during next (24) hrs and weaken gradually.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas may be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40)mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35)mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in Gulf of Mottama, Deltaic,off and along Rakhine Coasts and (7-9) feet in off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
