BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (17:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over
the Eastcentral Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal, Northern part of Rakhine coast moved
Northwestwards and now lies as a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northeast Bay and adjoining
Southeast Bangladesh coast-Northern part of Rakhine coast(Myanmar). It is likely continue to move
Northwest wards and concentrate into a Depression during next (18)hrs and it may reach North Bay
and adjoining West Bengal-Bingladesh coasts. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards and may cross
West Bengal and North Odisha(India).Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea andBay of Bengal.FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 19thAugust, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly
widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan, Kayah States and widespread in
the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine,
Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls inUpper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, TaninthayiRegions and Chin
State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts.
Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
