SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin State and widespread in theremaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.44) inches in Yangon(Mayangon), (2.20) inches in Yangon(Mingaladon), (2.01)inches in Tongzan, (2.00) inches in Shwegwin, (1.73) inches each in Namsam and Danubyu, (1.69) inches in Sittwe, (1.57) inches in Machanbaw and (1.50) inches in Kyauktaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady,Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States and isolated in theremaining Regions and States.
