SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated inUpper Sagaing Region, scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State and widespread in theremaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolatedheavyfalls in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (8.27) inches in Kyeikkhame, (6.86) inches in Hpa-an, (6.53) inches in Thaton, (6.34) inches in Ye, (6.22) inches in Paung, (5.83) inches in Gwa, (5.31) inchesin Chaungsone, (4.97) inches in Khayan, (4.68) inches in Pathein, (4.37) inches in Mudon, (4.25) inches in Belin, (4.05) inches in PaingKyone and (3.77) inches in Phyu.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES:According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the waveover Deltaic areas, Myanmar still persists and it is forecast continue to move West-Northwestwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will befairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, TaninthayiRegions and Southern Shan, Kayah States.
